A most exclusive - and inclusive - show experience. At once elitist and democratic. A show with no audience, filmed and photographed over the course of two days in a confidential closed studio capsule, reaching a digital audience that transcends the borders of the globe.
ELLERY wanted the viewers to experience the collection as individuals who digest and perceive information in different ways.
The Spring '18 collection was released in tandem online at ELLERY's own microsite [a small cosmos of information], through the digital fashion media [see VogueRunway.com] and physically in Paris through a presentation format. It allowed our viewers to experience the collection on many different levels: physically, digitally, audio-visually. The result was a multi-sensorial experience so that the audience could immerse themselves in the designer's vision.
ELLERY acknowledges people's appetite to see garments presented in a different way, shifting the viewer's expectations of how fashion is viewed and consumed in this new digital world. Everyone - editors, buyers, clients, customers - are invited to experience the show, together.

For the Spring '18 collection, ELLERY looked to the great theorists of the 20th Century for inspiration. It was these geniuses and forward-thinkers who posed then proved seemingly unconceivable concepts such as determining the speed of light as well as space and time travel.
Looking to the future, ELLERY thought about this theoretical woman. Perhaps one day we will all holiday on the beaches of Venus.
The collection’s silhouettes are lithe and elongated, punctuated with voluminous puffy sleeves and delicate ruching. The turn-of-the-century informed the wide square scoop necklines, bubble hems and sleeves. Modernity is introduced through sleek tailored A-line skirts, oversized button-up blazers, classic overcoats and puddle hem man-style pants. Design lines are emphasised with curved top-stitching across swerved plackets and pockets.
Crushed and highly textured fabrics manipulate the silhouettes with a memory that holds. Fabrics are highly technical with coated matte seersucker, metal cotton, crinkled silk velvet and innovative sheen tissue. Patent glossy fabrics sit amongst soft lambs leather, checked suiting, crisp cotton shirting and dishevelled tweed. A spirited print featuring ‘shells and diving babes’ offers a slither of playfulness when paired with tailoring. A nostalgic colour palette sits amongst futuristic metallics. Dandelion yellow, cognac, red, electric blue and silver.
An artful and growing jewellery collection explores the cosmos at its core. The pieces mix silver and gold un expectantly, others are punctuated with colourful resin.
The ELLERY shoe collection is a mix of creamy elasticated leathers, silk moiré jacquards and printed striped python. The colours span from white, canary yellow, toffee and electric blue. Fitted ankle and thigh high boots are adorned with a circular zip pullers and a highlight perspex heeled ankle boot holds its very own system of floating planets.
Both bold and polished, the Spring '18 collection is an artful union of early 20th century style and 1960s retro futurism, all through the ELLERY lens. The Spring '18 collection with its inspirations that span time, takes the best of the past with a glimpse into the future - and beyond.
